When you come in for your move-up, we remove whatever method you’re currently wearing and evaluate the condition of your hair. If it’s in good shape — not damaged, meets the standard for our method, not matted — we can repurpose it for an IBE® install.

When the life of your extensions expire, we’ll upgrade your extensions to our private label hair at a future install. But you’ll already know the method works — because you’ve already worn it.
The One Exception
I want to be upfront about one scenario where this doesn’t work cleanly.
Some methods use adhesive to glue the wefts together. When that’s the case, there’s no way to cleanly separate the hair without damaging the extensions. If that’s your situation, you’ll need new hair to move forward with IBE®.
But that’s the exception, not the rule. About 90 percent of the time, I can work with what you have, do your next move-up using your existing hair, and transition you into a safer method without starting from scratch. It’s worth calling to ask — the answer is usually yes.
There’s also the hair itself. If your existing extensions came from somewhere else, I can’t guarantee the quality — and I won’t risk your install on hair I didn’t source. Poor quality hair affects the whole foundation: it tangles during installation, sheds excessively at move-up, and puts strain on your natural hair. That’s not worth saving money on. At your first move-up, we’ll transition you to our private label hair so I can control the quality and protect your install long-term. From there forward, your hair is ours — It’s important to mention I do NOT allow outside hair to be brought in for new installs. I want to avoid a long list of potential issues that can occur. Safety first.
