How Much Shedding Is Too Much? Here’s What I Saw From Just One Row.

A real client, a real brush, and a warning sign most people don’t know to look for.

A new client came to see me recently. She was wearing a half row of extensions on the bottom — just one mini row. That’s it.

This is what came out in the brush from that one small section. One mini row, and this much hair shed.

That’s not normal. And I want every one of you reading this to know what “normal” actually looks like, because most people don’t find out until it’s already a problem.

What Causes This

Excessive tension, poor placement, and heavy installs will always show up somewhere — usually in the health of the hair underneath. Shedding like this isn’t random. It’s your hair telling you the install is asking more of it than it can safely give.

A few things that typically cause it:

  • Too much hair extension weight
  • Poor placement
  • Installs that sit too heavy or too tight from day one

None of it shows up right away. That’s what makes it dangerous — it builds quietly, row by row, until you’re brushing out handfuls.

What It Should Look Like Instead

Invisible Bead Extensions® done correctly should protect the integrity of your hair, not compromise it. That’s not a marketing line — it’s the actual standard. A proper install shouldn’t leave you shedding more than what’s normal for your own hair on its own.

If you’re already wearing extensions and you’ve noticed something doesn’t feel right, that’s worth a second look. Not a reason to panic — a reason to get it checked before it becomes something bigger.

If This Sounds Familiar

I offer same-day consultations here in Tucson. If you’re not sure whether what you’re seeing is normal shedding or a sign something’s wrong with your install, let’s look at it together.
